Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting, adding, accessing, or otherwise using Yarnaby ("the Bot", "we", "us", or "our") in any Discord server or direct message, you ("you" or "the user") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Bot, and any server administrator who disagrees should remove the Bot from their server.

2. Description of Service

Yarnaby is an unofficial, fan-made Discord bot designed for roleplay and entertainment purposes. The Bot provides automated, character-driven responses and interactions inspired by the Yarnaby character from the Poppy Playtime video game franchise. Features may include roleplay messages, in-character replies, mini-interactions, and other entertainment commands. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time without prior notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Discord, and by extension, this Bot. By using the Bot, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that your use of the Bot complies with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, as well as all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. Users under the age of 18 should obtain parental or guardian consent before interacting with the Bot.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Bot to:

• Harass, bully, abuse, threaten, dox, or stalk other users.
• Generate or distribute content that is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, gore-focused, or otherwise illegal or harmful.
• Engage in NSFW roleplay, sexual content involving minors, or any content that violates Discord's Community Guidelines.
• Spam, flood, raid, or otherwise disrupt servers, channels, or Discord's infrastructure.
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or interfere with the Bot's functionality.
• Use the Bot to evade bans, moderation actions, or rate limits on Discord.
• Impersonate the Bot's operators or falsely claim affiliation with Mob Entertainment, Mob Games, or the Poppy Playtime franchise.
• Use the Bot for any commercial purpose without prior written permission from the operators.

5. Roleplay Content & Mature Themes

The Bot is inspired by a horror-themed video game. While the Bot is designed for general roleplay, some responses may reference mild horror, cartoonish violence, suspense, or unsettling themes consistent with the source material. The Bot is not intended to produce explicit, graphic, or NSFW content. Server administrators are responsible for ensuring the Bot is used in channels appropriate for their community's age and content guidelines, and for setting Discord's age-restricted channel settings where appropriate.

6. Server Administrator Responsibilities

If you are a server administrator who invites the Bot to your server, you are responsible for:

• Informing your members that the Bot is present and may process messages in channels where it is active.
• Configuring the Bot's permissions appropriately and limiting it to suitable channels.
• Enforcing your own server rules and Discord's Community Guidelines.
• Removing the Bot from your server if you no longer consent to its presence.

7. Data Collection & Privacy

The Bot may process message content in channels where it is active in order to generate roleplay responses. We do not intentionally collect, store, or share personal data beyond what is necessary for the Bot's core functionality. Messages are processed in real time and are not retained long-term. 8. Intellectual Property

Yarnaby and all related Poppy Playtime characters, names, likenesses, artwork, trademarks, and other intellectual property are the property of Mob Entertainment (also known as Mob Games). This Bot is a non-commercial, fan-made project created by fans, for fans. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or connected to Mob Entertainment / Mob Games in any way. All rights to the source material belong to their respective owners. If a rights holder believes this fan project infringes on their rights, please contact the operator and we will respond in good faith.

9. Third-Party Services

The Bot operates on Discord's platform and may rely on third-party services (such as hosting providers and language APIs) to function. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties, but we choose providers that we believe handle data responsibly.

10. Bot Availability & Modifications

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Bot online and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Bot may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, infrastructure issues, or reasons outside our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Bot at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms, abuse of the Bot, or behavior that harms other users. Server administrators may remove the Bot from their server at any time. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Bot will be available at all times, error-free, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose. The Bot's responses are generated algorithmically and may occasionally be inaccurate, inappropriate, or unexpected; they do not reflect the views of the operators.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Bot's operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of access, or emotional distress — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Bot. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Bot is to stop using it.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Bot's operators, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Bot, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Bot, applicable law, or our practices. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last modified. Significant changes may be announced via the Bot's support server.
